so, this post is a bit of a challenge. i mean, really....i'm challenging you to start your very own blog, or at least something like it. wanna know why? probably not, but i'll tell you anyway. we, my dear friends, are the memory keepers for those who come after us, whether it be our children or friends or family or even perfect strangers (but especially for our children.)
those of us who have kids know how fleeting these moments are, and how if we don't snatch them up, take lots o' pics, and write down everything that happened (or record it somehow), that these memories are as good as lost. so, if for no other reason, start saving these memories in a tangible way. my plan, you ask? (ok, you didn't, but once again i'm gonna take the bull by the horns and tell you...) once a year i plan on turning these here blog entries into a book. you can do that, you know....there are companies that let you do as much or as little as you'd like and the price is pretty reasonable considering these are your memories. in print. to keep. for evs.
i want to be able to give these to my child(ren...hopefully) and let them enjoy seeing what our day to day was like way back when. what made mommy smile. what annoyed mommy. how adorbs they looked in pictures. how young and beautiful and vivacious their mother once was....ok, a girl can hope, right?!...maybe?...no? but seriously, this might give them a little sneak peak into how very much they're loved. i mean, wouldn't you have loved this if your mom made one for you? kind of like looking back at old family pics....but times a million.
so, go forth, i say, to record your lives. the good. the bad. and the ugly. share it all- well, at least most of it anyway...let's keep it PG. Keep these memories for your children. your future children. your loved ones. they'll love it. i promise. and so will you- especially when you're 90, and you're the only one who remembers how cool and gorgeous you once were....too much? hmmm.....
go to it. and then let me know about it so i can blog stalk you enjoy your memories.
